The Economics of National Defence in an Age of Austerity: The UK Defence Industrial Strategy after the SDSR
This event will look at the evolution of the UK's Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS) since the publication of the SDSR in October 2010. It will consider: the implications of the economic climate for the SDSR; how industry and technology companies have responded; how the SDSR has changed the long and short-term outlook and objectives for industry; and the broader implications for the UK growth agenda.
Ahead of the Government's White Paper on 'Equipment, Support and Technology for UK Defence and Security' this event will seek to inform the process and look at the priorities and pitfalls for this area of defence.
This event forms part of the series on The Economics of UK Security and Defence Policy.
Attendance is strictly by invitation only.
