Understanding and Responding to Populist Extremism

16 May 2011 - 00:00 to 17 May 2011 - 00:00

Chatham House, London

This seminar will discuss populist and polarising politics in Scandinavia, the behaviour of populist parties in elected office, and how Europe, and European institutions, can respond to the rise of the far-right.

This event is the final in a series of four seminars held in different European capitals, investigating and comparing the rise of populist extremist parties in different national contexts. A Chatham House report by Associate Fellow Dr Matthew Goodwin will be published in the summer. More about the project >>

Attendance is by invitation only.
