India: What kind of global power?
Dr Gareth Price, Senior Research Fellow, Asia Programme, Chatham House
India’s rising economic strength has made it an increasingly important interlocutor for the US and Europe, as well as for a host of other emerging powers ranging from Brazil to China. Dr Gareth Price will explore how India’s foreign policy is evolving and assess what type of global power it will become. How important does India view its relationship with the UK and Europe in comparison to its other global partners? What does this mean for a better engagement with India on global challenges ranging from Afghanistan to climate-change.
This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
