Foreign Policy in an Age of Uncertainty

26 September 2011 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Chatham House, London

Alex Ellis, Director for Strategy, Foreign & Commonwealth Office
Chair: Jonathan Knight, Research Assistant to the Director, Chatham House

It is a cliché that we live in an uncertain world, but it is also true. Some of this uncertainty is about things that are happening whose consequences are unclear, for example the shift of power to the south and the east. Some of the uncertainty stems from more immediate events in Europe and the Middle East. The speaker will explore how the United Kingdom’s foreign policy should respond.

There will be an open reception following this meeting.
