Lifeblood: How to Change the World, One Dead Mosquito at a Time
The speaker will discuss his new book, which documents two years on the trail of a campaign to eradicate malaria. The disease still infects around half a billion people a year, and kills close to a million of them. Drawing on the history of efforts to combat malaria, Mr Perry will explore the complex politics of eradication projects, development and aid in Africa. He will argue that whilst there have been successes in the fight against malaria, considerable challenges remain.
