Overview

In the run-up to South Sudan’s secession in July 2011, the US promised to begin normalising relations with Sudan if the South’s independence was carried through peacefully. In this private roundtable, participants will discuss the US administration’s changing attitude towards the government in Khartoum, and how developments in South Sudan are likely to affect this.

This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
