Overview

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED.

The speaker will discuss the way forward in relations between Pakistan and India. He will examine why the approach towards resolving their disputes had to change after 9/11 while drawing on his unique insights into the back-channel diplomacy on Kashmir, as the head of the Foreign Minister's Office, during 2003-2007. The speaker will also consider a political solution to Afghanistan that involves both Pakistan and India, arguing that it will be difficult for Afghanistan to achieve peace and stability until Pakistan and India work together and normalize their relations.
