Pakistan has endured another eventful year with the assassinations of Osama bin Laden, Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer and investigative reporter Saleem Shahzad, and continued violence in Karachi.
These events, together with developments in neighbouring Afghanistan, have led to major tensions between Pakistan and the US. The speakers will consider whether the 'great game' between competing powers will continue into 2012, and from their own perspectives, discuss the threats faced by those investigating Pakistan's security establishment and extremist groups.
