The Future Energy Challenge

8 November 2011 - 8:00am to 9:15am

Chatham House, London

Peter Voser, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Dutch Shell plc

The earth’s population is forecast to reach 9 billion by 2050. Peter Voser will argue that powering this future world is not just an energy challenge, but a security, environment, economic and jobs issue. He will discuss how society as a whole needs to reduce CO2 emissions and get smarter about how it extracts and uses resources, all against a backdrop of volatility and change, and will focus on the respective roles of governments and business in meeting this challenge.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only.

To enable as open a debate as possible, this event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
