Inflated living costs and a growing discontent with the current economic climate have led to extensive social unrest in Israel over the past year. Public protests, coupled with deep divisions over the country's approach to Iran's nuclear ambitions, and the election of a new leader to head Israel's Labour party, have led to considerable domestic instability. Meanwhile, due to their potential to upset regional dynamics, the dramatic changes sweeping the Arab world pose new challenges to Israel's position in the Middle East.

The speakers will consider the domestic dimensions of Israeli foreign policy-making against the backdrop of a changing regional context.

This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

Attendance is by invitation only.
