Analysts have predicted the imminent collapse of the Belarusian economic and political model for many years, yet to date the regime has proven resilient. Belarus is now facing a serious economic crisis, and the rating of President Alexander Lukashenka is at its lowest ever level. This seminar will gather experts on Belarus to discuss developments in the country and likely scenarios for the future. They will consider the potential for the transformation of the country and the role the European Union can play in this. Russia’s interests and policies in relation to Belarus will also be examined.
