Overview

The Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011 tested Japan’s crisis management capabilities to their limits. Based on the findings in their book, Lessons from the Disaster: Risk management and the compound crisis presented by the Great East Japan Earthquake, Professor Takenaka will explore the economic effects of the crisis, and Dr Funabashi will focus on governance failures, particularly those leading to the nuclear emergency at Fukushima. 

This event will be held in association with the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
