Russia's Approach to National and International Security

During Dmitry Medvedev’s presidency, a number of new policy documents have been released reflecting the regime’s changing approach to national and international security. The Russian leadership have also reiterated their objections to NATO’s dominance of European security. Major structural changes have been introduced to the country’s security forces, with a far reaching reform of the military and significant personnel changes in the Ministry of Interior. The speaker will discuss the impact of these reforms, and the evolution of Russia’s security policy.
