Russia and the EU: Common Challenges, Common Responses?
Alexey Gromyko, Deputy Director, Institute of Europe, Russian Academy of Sciences; and European Programmes Manager, Russkiy Mir Foundation
Russia is the European Union’s third largest trade partner, with energy supplies constituting the greatest percentage of Russian exports. Russia has strong bilateral relations with several European countries, notably Germany; but the speaker will argue that the EU’s attempts to engage Russia more broadly have achieved little success. He will discuss these issues and the future direction of EU-Russia relations more widely.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
