The ICRC has its largest running operation in sub-Saharan Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As Head of Operations in Central Africa, Patrick L'Hôte will discuss governance and security dimensions to the ongoing humanitarian challenges facing the country. He will discuss responses to these challenges and offer his perspective on the role that international partners and decision makers might usefully play.
