Public debate surrounding the controversial Kony2012 campaign quickly moved beyond the challenges the LRA poses in Central Africa, to embrace wider questions of advocacy campaigning uses and abuses. Meanwhile the African Union is mobilizing a four-nation army to undertake a new offensive against the LRA – an initiative subject to controversy also, and the International Criminal Court continues to call for Kony’s arrest.

At this event a panel of experts on the region will identify the policy options open to the international community and discuss the best way to remove the threat the LRA poses to the region.
