Jobless Generation: Youth Unemployment in the EU
With youth unemployment soaring in the EU, the panel will examine the long-term political and social effects. They will explore the gap between young people’s expectations and economic reality and discuss what can be done, both nationally and at a pan-European level, to reduce youth unemployment rates. The discussion will also address how the uneven impact of unemployment across the EU - where Germany's rate stands at around 8% and Spain's at around 50% - may affect the stability and sustainability of the European project.
There will be a breakfast reception from 08.00.
This is an Under 35s Forum event.
