The lifting of European sanctions on Burma has created excitement about opportunities for investment, but Burma remains a complex environment for business, with an arbitrary legal system, corruption and widespread inequality. This roundtable will consider the parameters of socially-responsible investment in Burma, discussing issues such as the role that business can play to encourage continued democratic transition and how investment can encourage socially inclusive development and empower all Burmese people.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only.

This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
