This half-day event will provide a platform for an exchange of ideas with a group of young Arab analysts - an opportunity to explore innovative thinking on policy from a youth perspective.

The event will begin with a panel discussion on the importance of youth engagement in policy-making in the Middle East. The panel will bring together experts on the region with young Arab analysts, who will offer a unique perspective on recent developments within their own countries and explore some of the broader issues affecting their generation in this period of profound change following the Arab spring.

Following the panel event, roundtable discussions led by the young Arab analysts will examine a range of policy development topics in the MENA region.

The MENA Policy Forum forms part of the Young Arab Analysts Network International (YAANI), a British Council project that aims to develop a network of young Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian, Egyptian and Jordanian policy analysts to make a significant contribution in their societies by influencing policy development.
