The speakers will explore American, European, Russian and Turkish attitudes on a range of international issues, based on the findings of the annual Transatlantic Trends survey by the German Marshall Fund. These include European and American opinions on the global economic crisis, the European Union, the transatlantic relationship, the rise of Asia and the role of Russia in the global order. Views on Iran’s nuclear programme and European perceptions of the US presidential candidates will also be discussed.
