The panel will then discuss the report’s analysis of the effect of competition from the automotive industry through fuel efficient vehicles, changing views about the approach to a plateau of production and export availability for oil, and the energy security consequences of geographical shift of the international oil trade away from the Atlantic region to the Middle East and Asia.
