Towards Universal Coverage: The World Health Organization, the International System and Sustainable Financing
The Centre on Global Health Security has established high-level Global Health Working Groups on governance and financing led by internationally prominent chairs and comprising some of the leading actors in the field of global health.
The Working Groups held their first meeting on 8-9 October 2012 at Chatham House. The purpose of this satellite session will be for the Working Group Chairs to describe the outcomes of the first meeting, and to raise for discussion key issues that emerged from those meetings. Other Working Group members will also be present to give their views and to stimulate discussions. These include Sir Mark Walport; Wellcome Trust, Professor Anne Mills; The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Dr Precious Matsoso; Ministry of Health South Africa.
This is a satellite session at the Second Global Symposium on Health Systems Research.
The findings of these Working Groups will be published in 2013.
Attendance is by invitation only.
The event is part of the Centre on Global Health Security project Towards Universal Coverage.
