Within a challenging environment, Nigeria's state governors play a crucial role in developing their states and growing their economies in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria. Dr Kayode Fayemi, Executive Governor of Ekiti State since 2010, has sought to develop an eight-point interconnected agenda to deliver on, among other things, governance, infrastructural development, health, education and gender equality. The Governor will discuss the successes and challenges of policy implementation and offer his perspective on the role of state government in Nigeria.
