Overview

The panel will offer their thoughts on Italy's unexpected election results, which saw disappointment for Pier Luigi Bersani's centre-left, rejuvenation for former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, and the meteoric rise of comedian Beppe Grillo's anti-establishment Five Star Movement.

The speakers will explore the frustrations and concerns of Italian voters and the implications of the election for economic recovery in Italy and Europe. They will also consider the dynamics of forming a coalition from these results and what the new government's priorities should be once in power.

This event will be followed by a reception at 19:00.
