Overview

Japan is the world's third largest economy and one of the largest investors in the UK and the EU. In addition to playing a leading role in major international forums, Japan is a vital strategic partner for the UK and EU in Asia.

What role could Japan, the UK and the EU play in maintaining security and enhancing multilateral governance through international institutions? The conference will explore Japanese views of key international developments and how it approaches these from a domestic and regional perspective. It will also examine areas of convergence and divergence with UK and European approaches.

This event will be simultaneously translated in English and Japanese.

The project is funded by the Nippon Foundation and held in partnership with the Nippon Foundation and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
