Overview

On May 1, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed new rules for the regulation of cross-border derivatives in an attempt to pacify disagreement over how to regulate the $640 trillion market.
Senior SEC officials will comment on the recommendations made and offer their views on outstanding issues between the US and Europe regarding OTC derivatives regulation.
Attendance is strictly by invitation only. To enable as open a debate as possible, the question and answer session will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
