New and re-emerging infectious diseases pose an increasing global health threat, with the potential to impact both national and global security over the next few years.

This meeting seeks to bring together senior leaders from the security, human health and animal health communities, to share perspectives and develop tangible approaches that could be implemented over the next five years to significantly reduce global threats posed by infectious disease outbreaks.
