Instability in the Sahel and the crises in Mali, Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have provoked a re-evaluation of approaches to insecurity in Africa, both within and outside the continent.

This workshop will bring together officials and practitioners from within the EU External Action Services, as well as academics and civil society groups to discuss the linking of security and development policies, and its implications for sustainable security and peace in Africa. It will provide opportunity for constructive dialogue on the EU's Africa foreign policymaking.

Attendance is by invitation only.
