Taipei in the Renminbi Offshore Market: Lessons for Other Financial Centres?

25 June 2013 - 8:30am to 10:00am

Chatham House, London

Relying on closer Cross-Strait relations, Taipei has great potential to build up a sizable renminbi (RMB) liquidity pool and play a key role in sustaining China's RMB strategy. This roundtable event will consider different possible strategies and scenarios for Taipei’s RMB business in the next five years.

This meeting marks the launch of the briefing paper Taipei in the Renminbi Offshore Market: Another Piece in the Jigsaw by Paola Subacchi and Helena Huang. It draws upon the International Economics department’s on-going research into China's RMB strategy.

This event will be held in partnership with the EPOCH Foundation.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
