Africa’s labour force is projected to grow to the largest in the world by 2035. The panel will discuss how this demographic advantage can be translated into stable wage-paying jobs and inclusive economic growth for Africa’s populace.

David Fine will comment on the findings of McKinsey’s report Africa at Work, which argues that targeted job creation strategies are needed in sectors that hold the greatest potential; Alex MacGillivray will discuss CDC’s experience of investing successfully and responsibly in promising businesses in Africa; and Vernon Soare will discuss how ICAEW has provided training and practical experience to Africa’s workforce. 

This event will be followed by a drinks reception at 19:00.
