Overview

More than half of Iran's 74 million people are under 30 years old. Almost a quarter of this bulging youth population are unemployed, with 4.5 million graduates expected to be out of work in four years time. The panel will discuss the impact sanctions have had on the mind-sets and priorities of young people in Iran, and examine how the incoming administration – which has pledged to follow a path of moderation – will affect their lives. They will also share their insights into the social, cultural, and religious values of this diverse group.

There will be a reception after the event.

This is an Under 35s Forum event.
