Overview

This event will provide an overview of developments in Iran, Syria, and across the Middle East from the perspective of Israel, a key player in the region. It will include a discussion of political developments in Iran since the election of President Hassan Rouhani and evaluate the prospects for renewed nuclear negotiations.

The discussion will be set in the wider context of the Syrian chemical weapons crisis and international efforts to resolve it. The speaker will consider these regional developments from an Israeli perspective and offer his views on a WMD-free zone in the Middle East.
