Overview

Modern slavery is estimated to affect more than 21 million people worldwide, despite being officially illegal in every country. It encompasses a range of illegal activities, including human trafficking, forced marriage and bonded labour.

To coincide with the release of the first ever Global Slavery Index, published by Walk Free, the speakers will discuss the scale and spread of modern slavery and the action which will be required to eradicate it.

The event will be followed by a drinks reception at 19:00.
