Hossein Rassam will discuss what President Hassan Rouhani’s recent victory in the Iranian election means for the country. He will share his insights into Iranian power politics and how this affects the future strategic orientation of the Islamic Republic. The speaker will also comment on the external and domestic - particularly economic - challenges faced by the Rouhani administration.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only. To enable as open a debate as possible, this event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
