Overview

2014 marks the withdrawal of NATO combat troops from Afghanistan. Ahmed Rashid will discuss the implications of the drawdown for Pakistan, by examining its effect on security in the region, and Pakistan’s future relations with its neighbours and the US. He will also reflect on fears that the country will face increased threats from Islamist extremism and terrorism.
