Energy, Climate Change and Competitiveness
Dr Fatih Birol will examine how energy, climate change and competitiveness are interlinked, based on the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) publication World Energy Outlook and his impressions from the Davos 2014 World Economic Forum. He will contend that actions to reduce the impact of high energy prices can coincide with efforts to address climate change, especially through energy policies that promote more efficient, competitive and interconnected energy markets.
