Overview

The political crisis in South Sudan that erupted in December 2013 has already claimed thousands of casualties and caused half a million people to be displaced.

This event will examine the political context in South Sudan and the key stakeholders in the ongoing conflict, as well as looking at the prospects for successful negotiations paving the way for peaceful elections in 2015 and the continuation of nation-building.

This event is part of a meeting series entitled Division and Conflict in South Sudan.
