Infrastructure for Growth: Matching Supply and Demand for Long-dated Securities
Long-term investments are required to promote stable growth, and infrastructure projects seem to offer profitable opportunities for institutional investors searching for long-term returns. However, such investments face constraints such as uncertainty and high upfront costs. This roundtable discussion will explore how policies can proactively encourage investment in infrastructure projects, including sovereign bonds and different types of long-term securities, from both the public and the private sector. The panellists will discuss the most suitable instruments and strategies to channel resources for infrastructure investment at the European level.
This event will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
The event is supported by StormHarbour Securities LLP.
Attendance is by invitation only.
This event is part of a project on the issue of financing infrastructure and the role of long-dated securities.
