With China making progress on energy saving and emission reduction during the 12th Five Year Plan period (2011-2015), the country’s new leadership now faces further energy development challenges, such as air quality improvement and energy demand management. After giving an introduction to China’s current energy situation, the speaker will discuss China’s energy outlook for the 13th Five Year Plan, and the latest energy development trends for China, including unconventional energy developments.
