Public Diplomacy, Contested History and Media Perspectives in Northeast Asia
At a time when there has been much public discussion about growing tension between Japan, China and the two Koreas over a range of historical, territorial and political issues, this roundtable will bring together media representatives from Northeast Asia to consider the current situation.
The participants will discuss how the media in their respective countries disseminate and influence views and commentary on these issues. They will also assess the degree to which media perceptions and misperceptions might detract from or add to current tensions within the region.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
