The growing demand for UN peacekeeping, with its increasing costs and challenges of management, raises questions of accountability. This meeting will explore the immunities regime for UN peacekeepers and challenges involved in making the UN and individual peacekeepers accountable. It will also examine whether states, in parallel with the UN, can be held responsible for the conduct of peacekeepers.

The meeting will be followed by a short drinks reception.
