How the British Army and Civilian Organizations Work Together During Military Operations
Increasingly, the British Army must work with a variety of civilian organizations when deployed overseas, both when engaged on traditional military operations and when undertaking tasks such as defence engagement. Such organizations can include other government departments, humanitarian organizations and private contractors, and may be local, British, other foreign or international in character. Some may work in close partnership with the British Army, some in parallel, and some may not wish, or be able to, have any contact.
The purpose of this seminar is to generate a discussion amongst the various stakeholders in order to improve the understanding of the aims and priorities of civilian organizations, how they operate, and what sensitivities might arise through their contact with the British Army.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
