The expert panel will reflect on how Europe’s leaders have addressed the crisis in the single currency and the future challenges to the euro. They will discuss whether the present structure is economically adequate or politically tolerable in an EU whose democratic legitimacy is challenged.

The panel will also discuss what further changes need to be made to the structure of economic governance in the EU to underpin economic recovery, including a robust banking union and potential debt mutualization.
