Since 2016, Agantaranansa has been the coordinator for the Asian NGO Network on National Human Rights Institutions (ANNI) at FORUM-ASIA, where he was responsible for providing technical assistance and capacity building to NGOs, governments and National Human Rights Institutions.
Previously, he was country director in Indonesia for Elva Community Engagement where he focused on access to justice and human rights issues affecting marginalised communities.
Agantaranansa began his career in private legal practice in Jakarta followed by stints with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG).
His research examines the role played by national human rights institutions (NHRIs) in the promotion and protection of human rights in the business sector - including identification of best practices and standards for NHRIs as well as obstacles to their effectiveness in this area.
