Fatih Serbest

Summary

Fatih Serbest became Academy Senior Fellow at the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House in September 2015. Before joining Chatham House, Dr Serbest was a lecturer in international law and director of LLM studies at the Istanbul Zaim University (IZU). As a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), he served as a director of joint CIArb & IZU programmes in international arbitration where he presented lectures of international arbitration law, mediation law and code of obligation in civil and common law countries.

Dr Serbest has extensive experience in international law, particularly in arbitration, foreign investment and trade/commerce law, as an academic and as professionally qualified attorney at law, arbitration counsel and arbitrator. He received his LLB in Law from Istanbul University, LLM in International Trade Law from Essex University and PhD in Law from King’s College London. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
