Liz Wilson is an independent international agricultural development consultant, providing strategic planning and international development advice, as well as policy analysis and research services. She has worked with Small Foundation on developing a new investment strategy. She was Deputy Director at Agriculture for Impact, Imperial College London, providing evidence and analysis to European governments to support their approach to agricultural development, food and nutrition security in sub-Saharan Africa. Liz has worked with the Chinese government and the UK's DFID in Beijing, on projects to pilot climate change adaptation, low carbon development and sustainable urban development strategies in China. She also worked for the humanitarian health NGO Merlin in the DRC and the UK, and served as a diplomat in the UK Embassy in China. Liz received an MA in German and Spanish language and literature at the University of St Andrews, and an MSc in Development Management from the Open University. She was a Robert T Jones Memorial Scholar at Emory University. She is a member of the Tropical Agriculture Association and Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
