Richard Sakwa is an associate fellow of the Russia and Eurasia programme. He is also professor of Russian and European Politics; head of the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent; and a member of the Academy of Social Sciences. His main research interests are Russian domestic politics and comparative democratization.
