Biography

Thomas Raines is a research fellow at Chatham House where he manages the Europe Programme. Previously, he worked as an analyst in the Strategy Unit of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London.

His research interests lie in British foreign policy, the UK’s relationship with the EU, and public attitudes to international affairs.

He is the author of a number of Chatham House reports and papers, including most recently Europe's Political Tribes: Exploring the Diversity of Views Across the EU and The Future of Europe: Comparing Public and Elite Attitudes, with David Cutts and Matthew Goodwin.
