Overview

Over 55,000 displaced families from Mosul have taken refuge in the Kurdistan region since a military offensive to drive ISIS militants out of the city was launched on 17 October. HE Qubad Talabani, the deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government responds to the effects of the demographic change within Iraqi Kurdistan and outlines both the Kurdish and international role in Mosul.
