The panel consider the extent to which the comprehensive assessment has widened the scope for the ECB to achieve price stability and how helpful it has been in increasing banks' willingness to increase lending.

They also discuss how the assessment could help reduce the risk of landmines and bank feedback loops between banking unions and sovereigns as well as the extent to which it will now allow credit to flow more freely.
